Habibie & Ainun is an Indonesian biographical drama film released on December 20, 2012. The movie stars Reza Rahardian and Bunga Citra Lestari. At its launch, the movie was witnessed by the 6th President of the Republic of Indonesia, Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono, accompanied by the 16th Governor of the Special Capital Region of Jakarta, Joko Widodo, and by the movie's protagonist himself, the 3rd President of the Republic of Indonesia, Bacharuddin Jusuf Habibie. The movie is based on the memoir of the same name, written by Habibie about his life with his late wife, Hasri Ainun Habibie. Reza Rahardian and Bunga Citra Lestari play the main roles as BJ Habibie and Ainun. Additionally, the film features several other famous artists.


synopsis :

Rudy Habibie is a genius aircraft expert who has a big dream: to serve the Indonesian people by building an airplane to unite Indonesia. Meanwhile, Ainun was a smart young doctor whose career path was wide open to her. In 1962, these two junior high school friends met again in Bandung. Habibie fell in love instantly with Ainun who was as sweet as sugar to him. But Ainun didn't just fall in love, she had faith in Habibie's vision and dreams. They got married and flew to Germany. Having a dream will never be easy. Habibie and Ainun knew that. Their love was awakened on the way to realizing dreams. The cold German snow, sacrifice, pain, loneliness, and the temptation of wealth and power when they returned to Indonesia accompanied the journey of two lives becoming one. For Habibie, Ainun is everything. Ainun is the eyes to see his life. For Ainun, Habibie is everything, the love of her life. But every story has an end, every dream has a limit.


The song 'True Love' sung by Bunga Cinta Lestari as the main character of this movie is very attached to the love story in this movie.
