Is Being Delusional Good for Yor Mental Health?

Nowdays, many new sentences were created and resulting a new slang words. There is a new phrases how to call your imaginative skill from tiktok, and they called it 'Delulu'.

Many people like to make their own imaginary world. Imagine living happily ever after with your lovely boy or girl, isn't that fun?

But here's the question, Is being delusional is good for your mental health?

Quoted from Jonathan Haidt’s book, The Happiness Hypothesis: Finding Modern Truth in Ancient Wisdom:

"…evidence shows that people who hold pervasive positive illusions about themselves, their abilities, and their future prospects are mentally healthier, happier and better liked than people who lack such illusions."

Which is mean, being delusional is okay.

First of all, I think being someone who like to delusioning something it's okay, but you have to keep it only for yourself. If you show people about your delusional thing, they might think that you are a creep. In my opinion, being delusional is also fun sometimes, right?

Besides, it's also help to create our imaginative side and grow it up, but only if you make it in a good way. Some people think that being delusional might indicates that you have a mental ill. Although it might be true, but not all of delulu people have a mental ill, sometimes they become delusional only if they were bored.

So the conclusion is, being delusional is okay, if you can control yourself and not going to far with your imaginary world. Too much delulu might causing you to have a skizofrenia, who knows? Right?

Well, sometimes, delulu is not always the solulu. Sometimes you have to face the reality, facing the true and walk your life well. You can run, but you have to still face it at the end.
